Heat Sprayed Polyurea Coatings
The fuel tank in Guernsey needed to be prepared and coated providing a sealed safe environment for fuel to be stored. The tank was shot blasted to a profile to remove any loose debris and then primed and coated with Polyurea. Polyurea has very high chemical resiliencies and is resistant to fuels making it the perfect application to contain and withstand fuel in tanks or bunds, safely.
Guernsey Water had a problem water tank. The external concrete roof over time had become porous, which had led to ingress. The concrete needed to be cleaned and free from any loose debris. We achieved this by using ultra high pressure water jetting. We then applied primer and coated with a high tensile polyurea. This cured any ingress and an extensive guarantee was provided for the lifespan of the water tank roof.
Aquaculture are the only sea bass farm in the UK, their goal is to supply all major retailers with sea bass. Their state of the art purpose built farm on Anglesey required a coating system that would protect the fish in their environment. The concrete breeding tanks and containment tanks were all coated with a HSPC polyurea coatings system. The coating needed to have a smooth finish, to be waterproof, have a good lifespan and most importantly to be aquatic and marine life safe.
